Delete your Tontiin account

Deleting your account is permanent. Before you start, make sure you have:

• withdrawn any money left in your balances;
• closed your active savings accounts;
• settled your group contributions and any loan repayments still due.

1. 1Open the Tontiin app and sign in.
2. 2Tap the "Profile" tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. 3Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account".
4. 4Read the notice, then tick the box to confirm you have withdrawn your funds.
5. 5Tap "Permanently Delete Account".

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email us with the subject "Delete my account", giving your full name and the phone number on your Tontiin account. You can also call us.

To protect your account, we check that the request comes from you by sending a code by SMS to that number. We then delete the account and confirm to you that it is done.

• Immediately: access to your account and all your sign-in sessions.
• Within 30 days: your profile (name, email address, photo), your PIN, your device and notification identifiers, and any other personal data the law does not require us to keep.

As a financial service, Tontiin is required by COBAC regulations and CEMAC Anti-Money Laundering Regulation No. 01/16/CEMAC/UMAC/CM to keep some records after an account is closed:

These records are stored securely, used only to meet our legal obligations, and deleted at the end of the period. Members of your savings groups still see the contributions you made in the group's history.
